Chloe R. Mefford

Services for Chloe Mefford will be 10am, Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 9am--10am at the funeral home on Wednesday before the service. Chloe passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Wood Manor Nursing Home with her family by her side.

Chloe Ruth Mefford was born October 29, 1923 in Wellston, Oklahoma to Charlie and Bessie (Howard) Mefford. When she was a young woman, she worked for McDonnell Douglas for a time before receiving training for a nurses aid. She worked for many years at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa, retiring in the mid 1970's. Chloe was devoted to her family and was most happy when they were around.

Those family members that survive include her daughter-in-law Janet Harwood; her grandchildren Dennie Asher, Tim Asher, Rebecca Mason, Wayne Harwood, Kevin Harwood, Penny Harwood and Tammy Harwood; her great grandchildren Ray Harwood, Boomer Harwood, Kaleb Mason and Catherin Mason and many nieces and nephews. Chloe was preceded in death by her parents and her children Donald Ray Harwood, Bonnie Mae Asher and Thomas David Harwood and her sister Waneta Wanamaker
