Chriss passed away Wed., Oct. 15, 2014, at his home at the age of 71.
The son of William Charles and Marguerite Ann (Vincent) Geick was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Bryan, TX. Then as a young boy he and his family moved to the Strang area. As he became older he attended Tiawah and Foyil schools. When he became old enough to begin working, Chriss took a job working on the Gardner Ranch. When he wasn't working he liked to play baseball at the local field in Bushyhead. There one afternoon he met Annabelle VanCuren. They were married February 8, 1962 in Flint, Michigan. They later returned to Oklahoma making their home in Claremore. Shortly after moving to Claremore, he began working for McGill Roofing. For over the next 30 years he worked for them until retiring at the age of 62. Chriss also made sure his family came first. He made sure he was there to help when his brother-in-law, Ira, and sister-in-law, Artie Sue, needed a place to live when they were young. He also took in his niece Shari when her dad was traveling in the Navy. After his retirement Chriss began focusing more on the fun things he liked such as raising cattle, and fishing and driving around with his dog Boggie. He enjoyed driving Annabelle around looking at the scenery. When he couldn't find something to do outside he was usually, watching OU & OSU football and basketball, or NASCAR.
