Cindy Sue McKnight

Memorial services for Cindy Sue McKnight will be held on Thursday, August 15, at 2:00 pm at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Cindy passed away on August 8, 2024, at the age of 70.

Cindy was born on October 10, 1953, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Don and Virginia (Adams) McKnight. She attended Will Rogers High School in Tulsa before her family moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas, where she graduated with the class of 1971. After high school, Cindy embarked on a successful career in the IT field, eventually becoming an executive who traveled across the United States for work. She retired in 2018 after a long and accomplished career.

A beloved figure in her family, she was affectionately known as everyone's aunt. Cindy’s life was enriched by her close relationships with her family and her deep love for her dog, Otis, who held a special place in her heart.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Virginia McKnight, and her sister Connie Minnick, along with Connie’s husband Rick. 

She is survived by her brothers, Guy McKnight and wife Sally, and Kevin McKnight and wife Lisa; her nephews, Jon Reed and Michael Reed; and her nieces, April Burk and husband Grady, Ashley McKnight, Alesha Gillum and husband Charles, and Annika Hoover and husband Brady. Cindy is also survived by her cherished dog, Otis, and many grand-nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
