Funeral service for Claude Lee Blood, Jr. will be 11 a.m., Fri., at the Inola Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Boling officiating. Burial will be held Monday at Shady Grove Cemetery, Bald Knob, AR. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-7 p.m., and family will greet friends 5-7 p.m.
Claude died Tues., Sept. 7, 2010, at Southwestern Regional Medical Center, Tulsa, at the age of 62.
The son of Claude Lee and Norma Jean (Stephens) Blood was born July 21, 1948, in Wilburton. Claude graduated from Inola High School in 1966, and then went on to serve in the US Air Force. He was stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base when he met Patricia Ann Basinger. They were married on April 12, 1974, in Bald Knob, AR. They made their home in Bald Knob before moving to Maryland. Claude retired from the Air Force in 1981, and they moved to Inola. Claude worked as Senior Systems Analyst with ONG and retired in 2005. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude.
Claude is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; children: Anthony Lee Blood of Oklahoma, C.W. Blood of Inola, and Greg and Sarah Blood of Verdigris; grandchildren: Dakota, Layton, and Teagan Blood all of Verdigris; mother, Norma Blood of Claremore; and sisters: Shirley Tucker of Claremore, and Kathy Vaughn of Chouteau.
