Cletis Rogers Ward

Cletis Rogers Ward “Roger” was born on January 14, 1952 in Claremore, OK to Cletis Ray Ward and Edith Gertrude Bentley-Ward. Roger grew up in Claremore and graduated from Foyil in 1971.
Roger was married to Debra Jean Hignite “Debby” of Tulsa Oklahoma, on June 11, 1971. They made their home in Claremore, OK.

Roger was a man of many trades, from finishing concrete, framing houses, building roads, and his last job was with Brakefield Mining being a mechanic on heavy equipment.

Roger had many hobbies, taking his family riding 4 wheelers and playing with model trains in his man cave but his favorite hobby was being with his grand kids.

Roger was preceded in death by His father, Cletis Ray Ward, his mother, Edith Gertrude Bentley-Ward and his sister Betty Lois Ward-Dowden.

Roger is survived by his wife, Debby Ward; son, Cletis Roger Ward Jr and partner, Gary Hughes; daughter, ReVonda Hicks and husband, Ronnie Hicks; son, Damon Ward and wife, Brandi Ward; all of Claremore, OK. Grandsons Brock Hicks, Damon Ward Jr, Trenton Hicks, Seth Ward, and future grandson Zayne Roger Ward; Siblings: Billy Ward & Joy Sue, Ron & Holly Ward, Tom & Diane Ward, Barbara & Michael Morgan, Linda Ward, Wayne & Kathy Ward; many generations of nieces and nephews, and a host of longtime friends.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Roger will be held at Faith Baptist Church at 901 S Faith Lane, Claremore OK 74017 on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:00.
