Memorial service for Cody Dale Cooper will be 1 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 13, at Common Ground Church, Tulsa, with Pastor Tom Dillingham officiating. Visitation will be Tues. 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Wed. 9 a.m.-8 p.m. with family will greeting friends from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m., MMS-Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Claremore.
Cody passed away Wed., Feb. 5, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 22.
The son of Gary Dale Cooper and Pamela Cecilia (Strait) Cooper was born July 26, 1991, in Claremore. He attended Foyil and Verdigris schools where he played basketball, baseball, and football. In 2009, Cody graduated from Verdigris High School. He worked at Tulsa Locke Supply, Baker-Hughes, and Valmont, before going to work at CRTS as a purchasing expeditor. He enjoyed fishing, watching OU football, tinkering on his vehicles, riding off road in his jeep, and spending time with his niece and nephew. He was a member of Friendly Foyil Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cody is survived by his brother, Justin Kaczynski of Broken Arrow; sister, Kayla Cooper and husband, Phillip French of Broken Arrow; niece and nephew, Makanna and Kamber; brother Ethan Cooper; grandparents, Darell and Mary Strait of Tulsa; uncle, Tony Cooper and fiancé, Antoinette Roberson; and close family members, Debra Cooper, Lindsey and Justin Mallory, Jenni and Sam Rhine, Allison and Billy Jack Graves, Chandra Brown and Tyler McNair.
