Connie Jo Davis

Funeral service for Connie Davis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Timber Ridge Cemetery in Catoosa.  Dr. Ray Crawford will officiate.

Connie Jo Davis passed away on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at the age of 68.

The daughter of Bob and Loretta (Allison) Piguet was born September 11th, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  As a young child she was raised in the Catoosa and Claremore area.  As she began to enter high school she and her family moved to Stillwater, and then to Edmond.  There she would graduate Edmond High School as a member of the class of 1972.  Ready to enter the working world, Connie attended a local beauty school and began working as a hair stylist.  Her first job was at the Cut and Curl in Edmond.  During her time there the owner introduced her to a friend named Charles Davis.  The two quickly hit it off and began dating.  They would marry on September 14, 1974.  The newly wed couple would make their home in Vinita, where Charles began working for the Grand River Dam Authority.  Over the next several years the couple would move a couple of times before settling in Claremore in 1979.   This move also prompted her to return to college.  So she enrolled at Claremore Junior College earning a degree in Liberal Arts.  In the years to follow Connie would work a few jobs in the Claremore area.  She volunteered for Tri-District, and worked as a dispatcher for the Oologah Police Department; however it was her roll as a homemaker that she loved the most.  Caring for her children and her husband was her true love.

In her spare time Connie had many things she enjoyed.  She loved watching sports, everything from NASCAR to football and especially her Oklahoma State Cowboys.  She loved boating, fishing, camping and bowling as well.  However, again it was family first for Connie. Being involved with her children and her grandchildren was Connie's favorite past time.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Loretta Piguet, and daughter, Heather Davis.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles Davis; children, Shannon Ellerd and husband Mark, Jenny Davis, Lindsay Cole and husband Jason, and Haley Culver and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Lesleigh, Lane and Logan Ellerd, Taylor Ault, Avery and Makenna Cole, and Zoey and Beckam Culver; great-grandson, Nash and Sister, Jerri Taulman.
