Funeral service for Crenthia “Sam” Karleskint will be 1 p.m., Wed., April 14, at Inola Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeralhome Tues. 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sam died Fri., April 9, 2010, at the Inola Health Care Center at the age of 78.
The daughter of Sam and Dollie Ollie Odessa (Davis) Stillwell was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Chetopa, KS. While in high school, Sam met Lebouris Benjamin “Lee” Karleskint at a pie supper. They later married and lived in Michigan, Washington, and Tulsa before moving to Inola in the early ‘60’s. Sam worked at Yocum’s Cafe, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cats, and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Lee of Tulsa; son, Ben Karleskint and wife, Marilyn of Inola; daughter, Molly Coulter and husband, Marshall of Inola; 3 grandchildren: Paul Karleskint, Angela Jenkins, and Adam Karleskint; 2 great-grandchildren: Trevor and Sydney; and brother, Elmer Stillwell of Parsons, KS.
