Curtis Alan Schmidt was born on May 3, 1982 in Joplin, Missouri. He passed from this earth on May 20th, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma after battling a short illness. Curtis was 40 years old but lived his life to the fullest. His example of selfless love and courage to try anything will be a legacy that lasts for generations.

Curtis graduated McDonald County High School in 2000. He continued his education at the University of Tulsa, where he received his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Curtis was currently working on finishing his PhD and wanted to be a professor.

Curtis was employed with Belcan as a Mechanical Engineer. He enjoyed his work, but his boys were his first priority. Hobbies varied and there were many, from traveling, cross fit, para sailing, and triathlons. Curtis was a man of many talents and could do just about anything, even building his own home. His life revolved around time with his boys and family. Curtis took his boys on countless trips. He loved his adventures with them at home and on the road. They have already visited 18 states together.

Curtis was a wonderful father, son, brother, nephew, and friend. If you knew him you loved him; he was an amazing human being. His ambition, creativity, determination, and desire to make everyone happy made him a joy to be around. Curtis will be missed by all who knew him.

Curtis is survived by 3 loving sons; Beckett Schmidt, Myer Schmidt, and Abram Schmidt (Inola, OK); his parents Scott and Sandra Schmidt (Anderson, MO); his sister Kacha Kuhn and husband Dusty (Anderson, MO), his nephews Dayce, Diesel, and Denver, niece Kylynn, and a host of cousins and aunts and uncles that loved him dearly.  Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents.
