Funeral service for Daniel Elijah Blalock will be 10:00 am Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Living Hope Baptist Church, 24 S. Rosedale, in Tulsa. A wake will be held at the church from 4:00 pm Tuesday until service time. A graveside service will be held at the Peoria Tribal Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
Daniel passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018. He was 38 years old.
The son of Harold Eugene and Luleda Rose (West) Blalock was born October 31, 1979, in Claremore. He attended East Central and Rogers High School in Tulsa, where he received a Who's Who Award.
Daniel was a loving guy who loved to laugh and have a good time. He also had a love for Native American dancing. In fact he was so gifted that he performed with two different dance troupes. Stomp dancing was his favorite.
Those family members that survive include his parents, Harold and Kathryn Blalock and Luleda and Dana West, children, Ethan and Audrey Blalock, and his former spouse, Sandy Heflin; his sisters, Felicia Barr and husband Dustin, Sonja Blalock, Andrea Carpenter, and Celena George, great-aunts Myrtle Chotkey, Stella Baptiste, and Serina Ensharkey Willis, and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norma and Harold Blalock Sr. and Lonzo and Gloria Baptiste.
