Daniel Godfrey

Daniel Marvin Godfrey, 73, entered into rest on April 28, 2015 in Cushing, OK. He was born January 16, 1943. Daniel is predeceased by his wife of 36 years Janet Godfrey and his son William Godfrey.
He leaves behind his son Robert Godfrey (Raelean) of Manteca and his daughter in law Rachel Godfrey.
He was blessed with six grandchildren, Lance, Michael, Robert, Mathew, Paloma and Daniel Godfrey. In addition he has two great granddaughters, Gabriela and Billie-Rose. Daniel has two surviving siblings Sandy Moorie and Steve Porter.
Daniel was a Proud United States Veteran serving in the Navy. He was a lifetime member of Ripon V.F.W. Post #1051. Dan proudly served as an honor guard member, paying tribute to his comrades as they would lay to rest. He was social making friends everywhere he went and loved to hear the bands at the Ripon Inn. He loved his family dearly and looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren. A long time Manteca resident, Dan made home in Oklahoma. He will be remembered for his valiant service, love of family and commitment to our country.
P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Godfrey family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at P.L. Fry and Son, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. He will be laid to rest at East Union Cemetery, 1035 N. Union Road, Manteca on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 1:00pm will full military Honors by his brothers at V.F.W. Ripon Post #1051.
