Danielle Desarae Morris passed away on Friday, November 4th, 2022, at the age of 36.
The daughter of Chester Morris and Shelia Bowen, Danielle was born September 2, 1986 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Despite being born prematurely and being placed on sleep apnea monitors her first year of life, Danielle was healthy and strong. Her two siblings, Nikki and Zac, adored their new baby sister but struggled to pronounce her name so Danielle would be known as DannaRae throughout her childhood by all who knew and loved her.
Danielle also had earned other nicknames because of her strong will and tenacious spirit like “Tank,” “Dani”, and “Spade”.
She spent the early years of her life in Chelsea enjoying the lake, camping, and spending time with family (especially her cousins) where they would play for hours and hours in the Chelsea countryside.
Into her middle school years’ she lived in California where she fell in love with the city and vacationing at the beaches. She absolutely loved California’s weather and it was in California where she began to have a passion for travel and a desire to experience new places.
Danielle’s teen years would bring her to Theodosia, Missouri. There she would attend Theodosia schools and spend her time with friends creating new adventurous memories along the way.
Danielle’s fearless spirit would have her traveling alone across country over the next twenty years mostly between Missouri, Oklahoma, and California where all of her loved ones resided. If she missed her sister, Nikki, in Oklahoma—she would find a way to get there and nothing could stop her.
Danielle loved to host dinners and enjoyed watching her guests enjoy the hearty meals she cooked. She had a heart of compassion for others that were less fortunate and would always invite people without a place to go over for Thanksgiving.
She loved fashion and makeup, old cars, motorcycles, music, and traveling.
Hands down what Danielle was most proud of was her son, Dalton.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jack Morris and brother, Zachariah Morris.
Survivors include her son, Dalton Ward; sister, Nikki Morris; mother Shelia Bowen and father Chester Morris; nieces and nephews Devon Williams, Adriona Williams, Lelah Thompson, Emily Morris and Zachariah Morris, and great niece, Emmorie Thompson. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
