Danny Thomas Cryer was born March 10, 1953 in Dumas, Texas. Around the age of 2 he and his family moved to rural Oklahoma. They lived in Tahlequah and later Muskogee. At the age of 17 Danny joined the United States Army. He served as a military police and a paratrooper. Upon his discharge he returned to the Tulsa area. There he began working as a carpenter. He worked on several big Tulsa projects while working for Flintco. He later drove a truck and for the past 4 years he has been working for Matrix at the port of Catoosa. In his spare time Danny loved going to the lake, watching movies and reading. However his pride and joy is his mother, children, grandchildren and his sister. He was known as a gentleman who always made you smile and had a big heart.
Survivors include his mother Louise Cryer of Foyil; children, Shiela Gamble of Moore, Krystal Justus of Catoosa, Tina Finley of Broken Arrow, Heather Chilcoat-Cryer of Catoosa, and Terry Cryer of Owasso; grandchildren, Alexis and Chandler Justus, Maci, Emma, and Claire Finley, Nichole, Camron, Corey and Te'a Chilcoat, Lydia, Ben, Grace and Daisy Gamble, Victoria Cryer, and Christian, Joshua and Caleb Sapulpa.
