Danny Joe Lamb

Memorial service for Danny Joe Lamb will be 10:30a.m., Monday, May 29, 2017 at Tiawah Community Baptist Church. Danny passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Claremore Nursing Home. He was 64.

Born Christmas Day, in 1952 to N.D. and Ruth (Kirkley) Lamb, Danny attended school in Claremore, Tiawah and Inola. He married Reada Casto Phelps of Miama, Oklahoma. Danny worked for his brothers and dad at Steve Lamb Painting.

Danny’s hobbies included hunting, fishing and watching western movies. He enjoyed the yearly hunting trips to Colorado with his siblings, their children and several friends. Danny was active in the Rogers County Bow Hunters Association for many years. He always had time for his nieces and nephews.

When his health was such that he could no longer live at home, Danny chose to live at Claremore Nursing Home. He was a favorite of the staff and all the residents. He always had something funny to say to everyone he visited with and was voted Valentine’s Day King.

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; sister Betty Bazille and her husband Harold; his brother Larry Lamb and an infant sister Barbara Ann and also a great niece.

Those family members that survive include his brothers Steve Lamb and wife Georgia of Claremore and Johnny Lamb and wife Linda of Bartlesville; sisters-in-law Sue Lamb and Bea Casto both of Claremore; stepchildren Brenda, David, Louise and Lucky and their children; several uncles, aunts and cousins and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
