Funeral service for Daren Dean West will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 30, at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Walter Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens.
Daren passed away Fri., May 23, 2014, at his home at the age of 40.
The son of Billy Dean and Beverly June (Gougler) West was born July 27, 1973, in Tulsa. Daren was raised and attended school in Claremore along with the vo-tech. After school Daren went to work for United Wrecker. He worked at several companies over the years including Dunlap, and Averson. Daren later started his own company, West Way Transport, where he transported cars. On May 1, 2000, Daren married Jerri Wheaton. Daren enjoyed golfing, racing cars, motorcycles, and sprint car racing.
Daren is preceded in death by his father, Bill; brother, Marcus “Marc” Walker; and grandparents: Bud and Dorothy Gougler.
He is survived by his wife, Jerri of the home; son, Preston West of Claremore; daughters: Brady West and fiancé, Matthew Massey of Broken Arrow, and Jacie Harnais of Claremore; grandchildren: Peyton, Paisley, and Penelope; mother, Beverly West of Claremore; brother, Jerrald Walker of Catoosa; sisters: Gina and Becky West; and nephews: Lance, Tyler, and Shane Walker.
