David Daniel Dake

December 14, 1924 — August 20, 2013

Funeral service for David Daniel Dake will be 11 a.m., Fri., Aug. 23, at the Foyil Assembly of God with Rev. Jack Damico officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Navy will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m.

David passed away Tues., Aug. 20, 2013, at the Claremore Veterans Center at the age of 88.

The son of George Chester and Esther Irwin Dake was born Dec. 14, 1924, in Tulsa. On Sept. 26, 1946, David married Martha Delane Stimson in Chelsea. Through the years David worked as a carpenter, in the oilfield, and as an engineer at Eastern State. David served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the Chelsea American Legion and Chelsea Assembly of God.

David is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, David Dake; grandchildren: Kim Bateman and David LeRoy Dake; and great-grandchild, Brock Dake.

He is survived by his wife, Martha of the home; sons: Harold Dake, and Coupie Dake and wife, Luz all of Claremore; grandchildren: Lisa Marrs of Claremore, Sheila Harris of Tulsa, Brent Dake of Claremore, Sam Dake of Foyil, Lorie Dake of Claremore, and Daniel Dake of Claremore.
