David was born on July 6, 1949, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Lloyd and Bettye (Williams) McFall. After graduating from Northside High School with the class of 1967, David enlisted with the United States Marines and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
Following his honorable discharge from the Marines, David embarked on a fulfilling career as a purchasing agent. He also ventured into entrepreneurship alongside his wife Linda when they opened Waterfront Frame & Art. Together they operated the shop for over 16 years, first in Catoosa and later in Claremore. In May of 2018, David and Linda retired from their thriving business.
David had an incredible personality that endeared him to everyone he met. His genuine warmth and kindness were remarkable attributes that defined him. He never hesitated to express gratitude to veterans he encountered by warmly welcoming them home or thanking them for their service when he spotted them wearing apparel indicating their military background. It was his way of acknowledging their sacrifices and ensuring they felt valued.
During his free time, David indulged in his passion for travel and exploration. He shared countless adventures with Linda as they ventured across Florida in search of the perfect winter destination. The mountains of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons also held special places in their hearts. However, Pensacola Beach became their most cherished vacation spot over the last 18 years. In addition to these incredible journeys, David treasured the opportunity to share his wartime experiences with his sons when they visited Vietnam together. It was a remarkable trip that allowed him to revisit the places he had seen during the war while creating lasting memories.
Those family members that survive include his wife Linda, his children Michael McFall and wife Juliann, Chad McFall, and Melissa McFall and husband Scott Brooks; his grandchildren: Riley McFall, Aili McFall, Elease McFall, Kylee McFall, and Maddox Bradley. David was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Bettye McFall.
