Funeral service for Deborah Lynn Vaught will be 11 a.m., Fri., Oct. 11, at First Baptist Church of Claremore with Chaplain Jim Dodds officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 5-7 p.m.
Deborah passed away Sun., Oct. 6, 2013, at St. John Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 46.
The daughter of Don Quannah and Marilyn Y. (Perkins) Vaught was born Jan. 21, 1967, in Tulsa. She grew up in Owasso and graduated from Owasso High School. Through her school years she enjoyed playing softball. Deborah attended I.T.T. and received her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. She went on to build her company Right Choice Painting and Construction. Deborah was baptized at Eastwood Baptist Church in Tulsa. Her passion was motorcycle riding. Her second family was the Women in the Wind Twisted Sisters Chapter. Deborah enjoyed shopping and working on her home. She had just finished building her home the day before her motorcycle accident.
Deborah was preceded in death by her son, Mathew Groom.
She is survived by her husband, Freddie Perez of Tulsa; children: Amber Groom and wife, Taylor of Tulsa, Aaron Vaught of Owasso, Steven Vaught and wife, Christina of Tulsa, Louis Vaught of Owasso, Jose Vaught of Owasso, Angel Vaught of Fayetteville, AR, Letty Perez of Tulsa, Victor Perez of Tulsa, Mariano Perez of Tulsa, and Selena Perez of Tulsa; parents, Don and Marilyn Vaught of Owasso; grandchildren: Destinee, Keona, Anthony, Serenity, Briauna, McKenzie, Nichole, Karissa, and Steven, Jr.; and uncles: Buster Perkins of New York, Dent Vaught of Tulsa, Dale Vaught of Tulsa, Doug Perkins of New York, and Victor Perkins of New York.
