Memorial service for Debra Percifield will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Sanctuary Christian Worship Center.
Debra Jean Percifield passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the age of 62.
The daughter of Bob and Barbara Bookout Barnes was born December 14th, 1956 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. As a young girl, she and her family lived in Texas a short time before moving to the Chelsea area. She began attending Adair schools, eventually finishing at Chelsea. In the years to follow, Debra would have a son,,Dustin. Wanting to be a better provider, she began attending nursing school at Rogers State. Upon earning her degree, she began working in the mental health field. Over a long career, she worked for places such as Parkside Mental Health, Grand Lake Mental Health, and the Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health. In 2015 she retired to concentrate on her own health.
On June 13, 2009, she married Craig Percifield. The couple made their home in Chelsea before moving to Tulsa.
In her spare time, Debra had many hobbies. She enjoyed garage sales and watching tv, especially cooking shows. She also enjoyed taking drives, that allowed her to listen to her favorite singer (George Strait). However, most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Barbara Barnes; daughter, Miranda Barnes; brother, Charlie Barnes, and sister, Christine Barnes.
Survivors include her son, Dustin Sponsler and wife Stacey, sister, Cathy Bunn and husband Dan, many nieces and nephews, and her dogs Shadow and Sydney.
