Dee Dee Legg

Memorial service for Stephanie Gayle “Dee Dee” Legg will be 10 a.m., Fri., Feb. 19, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ray Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Dee Dee passed away Mon., Feb. 15, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 59.

The daughter of James Allen “Jim” Cantrell and Doneta Jean (Jennings) Cantrell was born Aug. 6, 1956, in Claremore. Dee grew up in the Keetonville area, and graduated from Catoosa High School in 1974. On Dec. 6, 1987, Dee Dee married Ronald Dean Legg at their home.

Dee Dee worked for McDonnell-Douglas and then Boeing Aircraft for 15 years, and for the past 16 years worked for Air Power Systems where she was a CNC machinist. When she wasn’t working, Dee Dee was always involved with her family. She was an extremely caring, big hearted person, always taking care of everyone around her, even strangers. Dee Dee also enjoyed gardening, and her family will miss going to garage sales with her.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Patty Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Ron of the home; children: Ashley Legg of Bartlesville, and Kelly Legg of Claremore; parents: Jim and Doneta Cantrell of Claremore; brothers: James Allen Cantrell and wife, Joan of Philips, SD, and John Rothrock of Tulsa; grandchildren: Angelz Deatherage, Madison Nye, and one grandchild on the way.
