Delara “Dee” Sue Farr, a beloved grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully in the early evening hours of Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Dee was born November 24, 1951 to Marshall & Madaylene Farr in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Having accepted Jesus as a young girl, she loved Him all her life. The family moved to Snyder, Texas in 1967, where she attended Snyder High School, graduating in 1970. During High School she met James Wenetschlaeger, and the two were married shortly after graduation. They began to build their life together in the west Texas oil fields while Dee worked for the Snyder Chamber of Commerce and attended West Texas College, graduating with her associate degree in business.
In 1982, Dee and her two children, Bryan and Stephanie, moved back to the Tulsa area where Dee worked for Hillcrest Hospital, the City of Tulsa, and her brother Marshall at Farr’s Cycles. In the mid 80’s Dee met Rick Nacke, and two families joined as one for many years as a household of 8 in a “Brady Bunch” home. She became “Momma Dee” to Rick Jr, Stacey, Machele, and Mike Nacke.
Dee was a loving mom, grandma, Mimi, aunt, and cousin. A faithful friend and encourager to the discouraged, she always helped others when she could. She shared her love of the outdoors and camping with her family, spending most summer weekends at Spring Creek. She exemplified compassion and kindness all her days.
