Dennie Louise Chadwell

Funeral service for Dennie Louise Chadwell will be 2 p.m., Wed., Nov. 21, at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Timber Ridge Cemetery, Catoosa, under the direction of Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

Dennie passed away Sun., Nov. 18, 2012, at her home at the age of 80.

The daughter of Jess J. and Audrey Gabbard Ingram was born October 8, 1932 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. She was raised in Locust Grove where she attended the rural school of Iron Post. A few years later, she met Melvin Chadwell. They were married June 11, 1949 in Pryor. They made their home in Catoosa, where she strived to be the perfect homemaker. Her family and her home were always the priority in her life. She was a Charter member of the Gregory Baptist Church; where she was very active in Women's Bible Study. She was also a lifetime member of the Eastern Star lodge of Catoosa. In her spare time she enjoyed going camping and fishing with her family. However reading the bible, sewing and cooking were her favorite pastimes, especially baking her signature pecan pie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Audrey Ingram; husband, Chad; brother, Bobby Gene; brother-in-laws, Lavelle, Ron, and Ernest; and sister-in-law Yolanda.

She is survived by her daughters: Vickie Cook and husband, Ken of Inola, Lisa Armstrong and husband, Cecil of Catoosa, and Anita Morris and husband, Dwight of Catoosa; sisters: Billie Morrison and husband, Gene of Tulsa, LaFern Roberts and husband, Alvin of Tulsa; and Gen Harrington of Owasso; sister-in-law, Barbara Chadwell of Afton; grandchildren, Chad Cook of Inola, Jason Cook of Broken Arrow, Laura Clary of Tulsa, Heather Anderson of Ft. Collins, CO, Sarah Berger of Ramstein, Germany, Emily Morris of Catoosa, Farra Combs of Broken Arrow, Jeremy Armstrong, of Broken Arrow, Tim Armstrong of Mounds, Jamie Smith of Kentucky, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Owasso Baptist Homes for Children, 12700 E 76th Street North, Owasso, OK 74055.
