On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Dennis Keith Shaw, loving husband to Twana Sue Shaw, passed away peacefully at the age of sixty-six. He was born the youngest child of two children to his late parents, Art and Norma Shaw, on June 13, 1956.
Dennis was a man that worked hard and never believed in laziness. He worked at Yuba Heat as a fitter welder and supervisor for 25 years. He suffered from a debilitating back problem for many years yet it never stopped him from getting work done. He loved to be outdoors. You would generally find him outside doing yard work or working on their pool making sure the water was chemically correct. He would make sure the pool was filled to the top in anticipation of Shane’s obnoxious “cannon balls.” He loved firing up his smoker or his grill and cooking for the family while they swam.
Dennis met the love of his life at Denny’s where he would stop in and grab breakfast and drink coffee. Sue would serve him and eventually she became quite smitten with him. Dennis was respectful and quiet and Sue began drinking coffee with him after hours and the rest is history. Dennis and Sue were married on June 5, 1992.
Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and is survived by his wife, Twana Sue Shaw and step-son Michael Shane Tittle and wife Lisa Tittle. He leaves behind two granddaughters Madison Beers and husband Kaden Beers, and Skylar Walters and husband Justin Walters. He was also blessed to have known and loved his three great grandsons: Damyan, Michael and Ryker Walters. Dennis is also survived by his sister Sheila and husband Fred Jackson and nephew Keith Hester.
A memorial celebration for Dennis Keith Shaw will be held on December 6, 2022, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. The family invites those who knew and loved Dennis to come join in celebrating his life. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) or Wild Heart Ranch (4thewild.org).
