Dewell Dewayne Davidson was born August 17, 1936, in Knobel, Arkansas, to D. C. and Virgie Ellen (Perdue) Davidson. Education played a vital role in Dewell's life. Growing up on a farm instilled in him a strong work ethic that carried him through his studies at Greene Country Tech and later at Arkansas State University, where he proudly earned his bachelor's degree and later gaining his CPA license. Dewell learned at an early age that life could be hard. He lost both parents at an early age, but was loved by his maternal grandparents, who raised him. On October 31, 1954, Dewell married his childhood sweetheart and together they raised two children.
Dewell's journey through life was one defined by work and dedication. He started his career with a company that allowed him to explore the states through travel. Eventually, he found his calling at Liberty Mortgage, where he climbed the ranks to become the esteemed Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Among Dewell's many passions were his deep love for his family. His face would light up when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Together with his beloved wife Bobbie, they created unforgettable memories for their family, always ensuring that their grandkids had the time of their lives. In his leisure time, Dewell found solace in traveling. With Bobbie by his side, he embarked on countless adventures across the country in their motor home. The thrill of the open road and the promise of new discoveries fueled his spirit.
Dewell leaves behind a legacy treasured by those who survive him. His memory will be forever cherished by his children Darla Niece and her husband Robert and Dan Davidson (Kelly Herbert). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Brandon Holcomb and wife, Taylor, Caelan Niece, and Aishlinn Niece, as well as his great-granddaughter Lakyn Holcomb.
Although Dewell may have bid farewell to this world, he now reunites with those who went before him - his parents D.C. and Virgie Davidson, grandparents William and Dovie Perdue, and most notably, his dearly missed wife Bobbie Faye Davidson.
