Dolores Maxidean Vaught passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016, at her home at the age of 81. Family will greet friends at the Inola Funeral Home Tuesday, February 2, from 6:30-8 p.m.
The daughter of John David Cook and Pearl (Chapman) Cook was born June 4, 1934, in Hulbert. Dolores grew up and attended school in Tahlequah. On Dec. 24, 1953, she married Billy Wayne Vaught in Huntsville, AR. They made their home in Tahlequah for a short time before moving to Tulsa. They moved to the Inola area in 1961, and built their home in 1963 where Dolores still lived. Dolores was a homemaker and worked various small jobs throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy in 2012; her son, Charles Tim Vaught in 1977; her parents; and siblings: Cordell Woodall, Raymond Cook, Juanita Kissinger, Walsie Nodine, and Billy Cook.
Survivors include her children: Larry Vaught and wife, Charla of Inola, Janice Vaught of Broken Arrow, and David Kim Vaught of Inola; brother, Jimmie C. Cook of Tahlequah; grandchildren: Bebi Magallanez, Dakota Vaught and wife, Tamara, Zachary Roach, Jerad Vaught and wife, Kristie, and Josh Vaught; and great-grandchildren: Tate, Tanner, and Leighton Vaught.
