Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, May 7, from 1 pm--6 pm; family will receive visitors from 4 pm--6 pm. Moose passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was 58.
Born January 7, 1959 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Clen Dale and Verna Ruth (Ware) Moss, Moose attended school at Inola, graduating with the class of 1977. Following his schooling, he worked as a plumber with Collins Plumbing in Claremore. Later he began working for FlintCo as a heavy machinery mechanic. Most recently, he owned his own service truck and was self-employed.
Moose enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandson Pendleton. He could tell a great joke and was the family’s prankster. There wasn't much that Moose could not do. He meticulously built his own home and could fix just about anything.
Those family members that survive include his son Matt Moss of Chelsea; his mother Verna Jolley of Inola; his brother Greg Moss and wife Thea, also of Inola, and his grandson Pendleton Moss; his nieces and nephews Taylor McDaniel and husband Jacob, Ryan Moss and wife Chelsi, and Amber Wilson and husband Chris. Moose was preceded in death by his father, his son Donald "DD" Moss, and his sister Joanna Archer.
