Funeral service for Donald James Wilson will be 2 p.m., Mon., Nov. 15, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Bobby Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Ward's Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., and family will greet friends 1-3 p.m.
Don died Thurs., Nov. 11, 2010, at Claremore Nursing Home at the age of 73.
The son of Leonard Charles and Mable Ellen (Cole) Wilson was born Jan. 11, 1937, in Stilwell. He attended Stilwell High School. On June 7, 1958, Don married Faye Marie Ross. Don drilled water wells and worked at a sawmill before going to work with Erlanger Tubular. He retired in 1999. Don attended Sequoyah Full Gospel Church for 20 years; and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie; brothers: Dale and Darryll Wilson; and granddaughter, Reanna Haddox.
Don is survived by his wife, Faye of the home; children: Eddie Wilson of Chelsea, Teresa Neal of Porum, and Tandy Ball of Foyil; brothers: Dick Wilson of Westville, Doyle Wilson of Cookson, Ronnie Wilson of Stilwell, and Craig Wilson of Stilwell; sisters: Juanita Hayes of Arkansas, and Sheila Buckner of Stilwell; grandchildren: Amanda Ober of Washington, Casey Wilson of Chelsea, Alex Ball of Foyil, and Lorene Ball of Foyil; and great-grandchildren: Daniel, Natalie, and Gracie Ober of Washington, Destany Folkner of Foyil, and Carson Ball of Claremore.
