Donna Jean Moore (Rather), 82, of Claremore, passed away on Tuesday, March 11th after a long and fulfilling life. Donna was born in Claremore, Oklahoma to Bufford Kenneth and Lena Catherine (Hilbert) Rather on June 10, 1942, and raised in Tiawah. A graduate of Inola High School in 1960, Donna was voted "Most likely to Succeed" and was class valedictorian, she was a cheerleader, and she loved playing basketball. On June 12, 1992, Donna married Elven (Butch) Ray Moore. The couple made their first home in Oologah before moving to the lake at Spavinaw, Oklahoma. Donna loved to crochet things for her grandchildren and children. Donna worked as a wire transfer manager at the Bank of Oklahoma for 20 years before retiring.

She is survived by her daughters, Toni Hicks Johnson, and husband Joseph of Rocklin, CA and Christi Hicks Dowden Cole, and husband Tim of Owasso, and stepsons, Robert, and wife Julua Moore of Talala and Brian, and wife, LaReesa Moore of Talala. and her grandchildren, Tara, Durk, Tracy, Megan, Tacia. Jami, Austin, Kelsey, Emily, Hannah, Morgan, Sierra, Savannah, Ashley, Trystan, Braxon, Ashley, Trevor and was blessed with twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Butch, her parents, Buford and Lena Rather, her sister, Delois McGowan, her brother, Buford Kenneth Rather, Jr. and her great granddaughter Kennedy Shuey.

The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Donna will be held at the Oologah Community Center at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
