Donna Jean Riggs

Funeral service for Donna Jean Riggs will be 10:00 a.m., Friday November 29, 2013 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery.

Donna passed away on Saturday November 23, 2013 at the age of 58.

Born January 18, 1955 in Tulsa to James Ira and Betty Jean (Cannon) Bassett, Donna was reared and educated in Chelsea, graduating with the class of 1973. Her work career began with several different jobs, then to City Services. Later she returned to school and earned her associates degree in computers. Her next job was at the Tulsa Airport Authority as a specialist and remained there until her retirement a year ago. One of the most generous and loving person you could know, Donna had many friends throughout the years. She was a great mom and always made sure her family had everything they needed. Donna loved life and could tackle any home improvement project that came her way. She loved to read and spend time on the computer.

Those family members that survive include her children Casey Riggs of Tulsa, Rebecca Hollingsworth and husband Nick of Jenks and Larry Jones and fiancée Amber Moon of Edmond; three grand babies on the way; her brother Terry Bassett and wife Debbie of Chelsea.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
