Graveside service for Dorline Ethel Murray will be 11 a.m., Wed., June 12, at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City with Rev. Alan Eck officiating. Music provided by Jonathan and Lacy Crowell. Burial will follow under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m.
Dorline passed away Sun., June 9, 2013, at Inola Health Care Center at the age of 88.
The daughter of Sidney Elbert and Nora Ethel (Woods) Richey was born July 27, 1924, in Duncan. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Northeast High School. Dorline married E.L. Murray on May 29,1942. He served in the U.S. Air Force and they moved every 2-4 years. After his retirement in 1963, they settled in Choctaw, Ok. Dorline was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was a member of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She enjoyed using computers, and used her iPad for movies, reading and texting until her health failed a couple of months ago.
Dorline is preceded in death by her husband, E.L. in 1989; daughter, Diana Kay in 1944; and brother, Sidney Richey Jr. in 1985.
She is survived by her children: John Murray and wife, Linda of Choctaw, Brenda "B.J." Carson and husband, Cliff of Inola, and Dorris Steele of Holdenville; grandchildren: Bruce Carson and wife, Renee, Dee Stookey and husband, Jimmy, and J.J. Murray; great-grandchildren: Montana Carson, Coby Carson, Bryson Carson, Laney Carson, and Carson Stookey; and sister-in-law, Muriel Richey of Moore.
