Funeral service for Dorothy Evaline Bradshaw will be 10 a.m., Mon., June 15, at Friendly Foyil Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Dawes Cemetery under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., and family will greet friends 4-6 p.m.
Dorothy passed away Wed., June 10, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 76.
The daughter of Audie Estelle Cantrell and Mary Madgalene (Pollock) Cantrell was born Aug. 5, 1938, in the Love community. Dorothy attended Love schools before moving to Foyil and graduating with the class of 1956 from Foyil High School. She played basketball for the school and served as Carnival Queen. On June 16, 1956, Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Russell Myers Bradshaw. They made their home in Tulsa and Claremore before moving to their farm outside of Claremore in 1977. Dorothy made clothes for her children while they were in school, and enjoyed watching them play sports. She also helped with their business, Bradshaw Electric. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Friendly Foyil Baptist Church.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Russell of the home; children: Randy Bradshaw of Dallas, TX, Gus Bradshaw and wife, Jennifer of Anadarko, Pam Felts and husband, Kurt of Bloomington, IN, and Kim Davis and husband, Gary of Claremore; daughter-in-law, Val Bradshaw of Dallas, TX; sister, Mary Esther Burlingame of Norman; grandchildren: Audie, Torri, and James Bradshaw, Chris, Zach, and Ben Felts, Josh Davis and wife, Sarah, Matthew andTaylor Davis, and Cheyenne, McKenna, Kiki, and Madi Bradshaw; and great-grandchild, Lyla Davis.
