Dorothy was many things to many people. However to her family she was the fun loving mother, grandmother and sister. The one that taught everyone how to play cards, numerous types of board games and bowling. She was also the strict lady that would correct them when they weren't doing the laundry and hanging and ironing the clothes just right. However most importantly she was the lady that loved her family, and would do anything for any of them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hazel Sumter; husbands Douglas Norfleet, Leroy Denton, Lawrence Bump; 5 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Survivors include her children, Mary Pat Bowman and husband Rick, Mitchell Norfleet and wife Linda, Jeremy Denton and wife Debra, and Donnie Denton; grandchildren, Luke Bowman, James Potter, Gina Foster, Amy Bunch, Bruce Norfleet, Brandy Collins and Melissa Collins; great-grandchildren, Cody Denton, Cheyenne Denton, Kristen Carroll, Julie Mercado, Alicia Mercado and Elysha Roy; brother, Kenneth Sumter; sister, Mildred Fishback and many other extended family.
