Funeral service for Ellen White Parker will be 11 a.m., Fri., April 20, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Brother Sam Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-5 p.m.
Ellen died Wed., April 18, 2012, at her home at the age of 79.
The daughter of Gordon Franklin and Alverda Lou (Smith) White was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Ft. Worth, TX. Ellen grew up in Tulsa, graduating from Central High School in 1949. On Dec. 13, 1952, she married Ralph E. Parker in Bentonville, AR. Ellen worked most of her life as an accountant for Byron Jackson Pumps and National Tank and Supply. Ellen and Ralph moved to Claremore in 1981. She was a past president of the Claremore VFW Auxiliary. Ellen enjoyed oil painting, reading, crossword puzzles, and sewing; and she loved her pets.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents; and brothers: Marshall and Marvin White.
She is survived by her children: Nancy Coppenger and husband, Lat, Barbara Snyder and husband, John, and Ralph W. Parker and wife, Carole; sister, Marjorie Rivett and husband, Harry; and 9 grandchildren.
