Emmitt Leroy Mitts passed away July 25, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 68. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Emmitt was born on November 17, 1948 in Hominy, Oklahoma to parents Edgar Leroy Mitts and Wanda Lee Ammons. Emmitt graduated college with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and spent his career with the US Army.
Emmitt is survived by his daughter Rachel Spencer of Claremore, three brothers: Jimmy Mitts of Claremore, Oklahoma; Billy E. Mitts of Oklahoma City,Oklahoma, and William Mitts of Magnolia, Texas; two sisters: Barbara Pearson of Baton Rouge, and Beverly Davis of Ohio, and one grandchild, Ethan Spencer of Claremore, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Lawrence Mitts.
