Funeral service for Ethel Driskill Holdt will be 2 p.m., Fri., Oct. 7, at Inola Funeral Home Chapel with Gerald Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Chouteau North Cemetery.
Ethel died Mon., Oct. 3, 2011, at her home at the age of 93.
The daughter of Bill Sylvester and Lizzie Cordelia (Hurt) Driskill was born Sept. 11, 1918, in Porum. Ethel worked for Douglas Aircraft during World War II. She later worked in the food and hotel service industry. Ethel and Bill made their home in Inola, and raised milk goats for 30 years. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and was a member of the Handy Hands club in Inola. They made quilts at Christmas time.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Newton Holdt; parents; and sister, Mary Woldridge.
She is survived by many friends and neighbors.
