Euel Dean Ward went home to be with his Lord on August 9, 2018 at the age of 81.
The son of Floyd and Hattie Biles Ward was born February 17th, 1937 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. As a young boy he was raised in Jesseville. There he attended school graduating from Jesseville High School in 1955. Wanting to continue his education, he enrolled at Arkansas Tech. There he studied engineering and surveying. Upon graduating Euel married his high school sweetheart, Edna Mae Shaw, on May 24th, 1957. They made their home in Tulsa, where he began his first job working as an engineer for the State of Oklahoma. However, after a few years he moved back to Arkansas, and began working as an engineer for Weyerhaeuser. In the late 1970's Euel again moved his family back to Oklahoma to become a partner in American Roofing. Several years later, Euel and Edna Mae moved to Inola to be near their daughter and her family.
Euel loved his church and served as a Deacon, as well as being very involved in leading the youth group. He enjoyed spending time mowing hay, or anything that involved a tractor, on the ranch. He spent countless hours working on his family's genealogy, and the occasional set of house plans.
