Eula Muril Burrows

Funeral service for Muril Burrows will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 23, 2011 from 1 - 8 p.m.

Mrs. Burrows passed away March 20, 2011 at the age of 72.

The daughter of Robert and Cora McKinney was born April 13, 1938 in Elkhart, Texas. As a young girl she was raised and attended school in Pasadena, Texas. Then one day she agreed to go on a blind date. She met Joe Burrows who was stationed at the local Air Force Base. A short time later they married on May 21, 1955. Over the next several years Joe's career took them to numerous places around the country. However after his retirement in 1977 they moved to Claremore, Oklahoma. She decided to return to work, and soon became manager of the Burger Chef restaurant. After several years there she took a job working for American Airlines. There she worked in the accounting department until her retirement in 2000. Her hobbies included bowling, reading, gardening, traveling, but most of all taking care of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Cora McKinney and son Bob Burrows.

Survivors include her husband Joe of the home; son, Greg Burrows of Claremore; grandchildren, Krissi Gibson and husband Rex, Kaycie Burrows, and Brittany Burrows all of Claremore; great-grandson, Carter Gibson, and siblings, George, Hazel and Louise.
