Euvah Gail Nimrod Bryant, 63, of Inola, OK, went to heaven on September 28, 2022. She was born on November 29, 1958, in Lawton, OK, the daughter of Cline Nimrod and Karen Bomhoff Nimrod and grew up in and loved Okmulgee. She met the love of her life, Steve “Red” Bryant, and married him on March 15, 1977, and graduated from Okmulgee High School soon after. They moved to southern Louisiana where they spent the next thirty-two years raising their children, Stephenie Bryant Simmonds and Jeremy Bryant, and meeting the many friends they still have to this day.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Red Bryant, two children - Stephenie (Todd) Simmonds and Jeremy Bryant; four foster children - Jessica Worden, Jaci Nimrod, Megan Nimrod (Alex), and John Farmer; three grandchildren - Marcus Rosenbaum, Raelee Simmonds, and Ari Bryant; two sisters - Elizabeth Nimrod and Shari (John) Fortner; a brother - Daniel Nimrod (Ariane); mother-in-law and father-in-law - Yvonne and Rod Jones; two brothers-in-law - Jeff Bryant and John Fortner; two step brothers – Mike Jones (Joan) and Brad (Mandy) Jones; several nieces and nephews - Carey (Adam) Miller, Jennifer (Justin) Adair, Amanda Fortner, Kelly (Jeremy) Beasley, Hannah Nimrod, Mary Chelf, Nathan Fortner, Niki Fortner, and Christian Dillon. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; one niece - Michèl Nimrod; and one nephew - Zachary Fortner.
Euvah truly made a difference in the lives of people around her, sharing her nurturing spirit with everyone she encountered in life. She was a Girl Scout leader for decades, and still in contact with many of the girls she shared her passion for scouting with. She was also very active in the Berwick, Louisiana United Methodist Church and involved in several organizations in the church. She was the band booster president / vice-president in Patterson High School in Patterson, LA. While in Singapore, she was active in the International Baptist Church and traveled with the church to teach English as a Second Language to Indonesian citizens. Her love for quilting started in Singapore and numerous people will forever be surrounded by her love in the quilts she gifted them. She was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and volunteered to provide stability and hope to abused and neglected children in Rogers County. She was very active in OHCE in Rogers County as a member of Holiday Hills. Most recently, she has participated in Stitchers, the women’s sewing group at the Inola United Methodist Church and started attending services there.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband through the years, lived in Singapore for two and a half years, and they traveled the United States with their camper in tow. Her passions included helping other people, photography, traveling, gardening, quilting, sewing, camping, riding the motorcycle and spending time with the family and friends that she loved dearly.
