Evelyn Marie Wills

Graveside service for Evelyn Marie Wills will be 11 a.m., Wed., Nov. 10, at Chelsea Cemetery with Rev. Richard Billings officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-5 p.m.

Evelyn died Sat., Nov. 6, 2010, at Rolling Hills Nursing Home, Catoosa, at the age of 87.

The daughter of Homer and Jewel (Goad) Edwards was born Nov. 24, 1922, in Tom. She grew up in Ft. Gibson. On April 1, 1938, Evelyn married Brownie Wills. They made their home in Tulsa, before moving to Vinita and then Chelsea. Evelyn enjoyed sewing and loved to cook. She was always taking care of her family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters: Betty Malone and husband, Clint of Chelsea, and Joan Willis and husband, Dewey of Vinita; brothers: Junior Edwards of Vinita, and Kenneth Edwards of Kermit, TX; sisters: Lorene Abbott of Mineral Wells, TX, and Ann Metcalf of Kermit, TX; grandchildren: Tammy Evans, Brownie Malone, Jimmy Malone, John Stroyick, and Sarah Hobbs; and great-grandchildren: Kelly Evans, Kyla Evans, Timmy Ray Malone, Jessica Malone, McKayla Malone, McKinzie Malone, Sonny Hubbs, Shelby Sidney, Raven Davis, Drake Davis, Kaylee Ray Malone, and Ryder Malone.

She is preceded in death by her daughters: Katherine and Anna K. Wills; her parents; brothers: Lonnie and James Edwards.
