Everett D. Wood

Everett D. Wood passed away peacefully in his home on February 18, 2021 He was 85 years old. He was born to Artie and Daisy Wood in Barnsdall, Oklahoma on January 21, 1936. Everett grew up in Barnsdall and attend Barnsdall Schools until he graduated in 1954. After high school he attended Oklahoma A&M (later known as Oklahoma State University) on a football scholarship where he majored in engineering. He graduated OSU in 1960. He then joined the Air National Guard and was hired by Cities Service Gas Company. Everett met the love of his life, Toddy, after college. They were married on February 23, 1963. They lived in Edmond for 17 years before moving to Claremore, OK in 1984 when Cities Service Gas Company changed ownership to Williams Companies. Everett had several hobbies. He was an avid reader. He loved studying the Bible, reading nonfiction and history books. He also loved to take his family camping at Birch Lake and Spencer Creek.
