A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn cemetery in Claremore, Ok.
Eyvonne Niedermaier was born on February 18th, 1930 in Childress, Texas to Chester and Clara Lane. She passed away on March 28th, 2022 at the age of 92. Eyvonne lived most of her early life in Connerville, OK. Then, she moved with her family to Norman in 1942 and graduated Norman High School with the class of 1948. After her high school years, she entered nursing school in Oklahoma City. Eyvonne and John had met at Norman High School and worked together at the local Norman theater. While Eyvonne was attending nursing school John joined the Air Force and they wrote each other regularly. She graduated nursing school in 1951 as a registered nurse and began working at Mercy Hospital as a surgical nurse. John returned from the Air Force and they were married November 5th, 1952. She continued her nursing career as the first school nurse at US Grant public school.
Eyvonne decided to change careers from being a full time nurse to being a full time mom once kids came along. She was passionate in her love for her family and made sure everyone else's needs in the family were met before her own. She loved the birds and her flowers and, most of all, the dogwood trees surrounding the yard in the back of their home
She is survived by husband John of Claremore,  three children  - Cheryl Berry and her husband, Ron, of Gainesville, John Niedermaier of Claremore, Denise Bond and her husband,  Greg, of Tulsa. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren  - Jonathan Berry and his wife, Lauren, of Boston, Grant Bond and his wife, Olivia, of Jenks, Christopher Berry of Orlando and Jenny Bond of Oklahoma City.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any contributions or gifts be made to First United Methodist Church of Claremore Endowment Fund.
