Funeral service for Faye Jean Ferrel will be 2 p.m., Wed., March 9, at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Schulze officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Faye died Sat., Feb. 26, 2011, at her home at the age of 81.
The daughter of Herbert Lee and Josephine Amy (Bible) Wollaston was born Dec. 24, 1929, in Collinsville. Faye was the eighth child born of nine.
Faye worked as a waitress at several cafes and restaurants in Claremore at a young age and later as a clerk and cashier at Anthony's and Wal-mart. She also spent many years as a homemaker for her family.
Faye married Elven Earl Ferrel on May 15, 1947, in Vinita.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elven on Nov. 3, 2004; her parents; and eight brothers and sisters.
Faye is survived by daughters: Karen Kay Sanders and husband, Donald of Claremore, and Donna Jo Pistole and husband, Danny of Clinton, AR; grandchildren: Stacey Lynne Randell and husband, Brian of Tulsa, Heath Earl Sanders and wife, Mary of Claremore, Barry Wayne Sanders and wife, Carrie of Broken Arrow, Jeffery Michael Pistole and wife, Maria of Clinton, AR, and Jennifer Michelle Fleming and husband, Gregory of Clinton, AR; great-grandchildren: Chelsea, Tyler, and Hunter Randell of Tulsa, Will, Maddie, Seth, and Anna Sanders of Claremore, Kristen, Jakeh, Jared, and Kendra Sanders of Broken Arrow, Julia, Zackery, Shelby, and Samuel Pistole of Clinton, AR, and Katelin Fleming of Clinton, AR; one great-great-grandson, Connor Randell of Tulsa; nieces and nephews: Barbara McClure, Gary Gable, Charles Wollaston, Janet Guerrero, Johnny L. Wollaston, Jerry Wollaston, JoBob Stanbro, Billy Stanbro, and Tom Stanbro; many great-nieces and nephews; and close friends.
