Visitation for Felix Flores-Gomez will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Fri., Aug. 9, at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory, Claremore. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery.
Felix passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at St. John Hospital in Tulsa. He was 66 years old.
The son of Isabel and Juana (Gomez) Flores was born March 31, 1947, in Puerto Rico, where he grew up and attended school. While living in the Bronx, New York, he worked as a building maintenance superintendant. In 1999, he moved to the Chelsea area, and worked in maintenance at Centrlift in Claremore until ill health forced him to retire. On August 11, 2011, he married Miriam Sosa in Claremore.
In his spare time, Felix loved caring for animals, such as horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and pigeons. Always loving to stay busy, he also enjoyed gardening, fishing, working on cars, and fixing anything that needed repair. He was a member of Iglesia Palabra Redondera Church in Tulsa.
Felix is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ramon Flores.
His survivors include his wife, Miriam, daughters, Abigail and Yolanda Flores, Ana Brito and husband Pedro, and Presilla Rexach and husband Tony, step-children, Miguel and Maria Pena, Damien and Donovan McCloud, and Christina Galindez, eight grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Serafim Flores, and his sisters, Silveria, Carmen, and Lusia Flores.
