Funeral service for Flora Belle DeLozier will be 2 p.m., Fri., April 5, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Minister Mike Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m., and family will be available to greet friends 5-7 p.m.
Flora died Tues., April 2, 2013, at her home at the age of 89.
The daughter of Robert and Cora Etta (Cluck) Leerskov was born March 13, 1924, in Claremore. She graduated from Tiawah High School, and continued her education at Draughon's Business School. In later years, Flora worked many years as a bookkeeper for Dan Roosa. On July 18, 1942, she married Norva Newton DeLozier in Lexington, SC. They made their home in Illinois, Nevada, and New Mexico, before moving to Oologah in 1979. Flora was a member of Blue Starr Church of Christ. She enjoyed NASCAR racing , fishing and watching the hummingbirds.
Flora is preceded in death by her husband, Norva in 1993; son, Robert DeLozier in 1993; her parents; and brother, Bob Leerskov.
She is survived by her children: Fred DeLozier of Tulsa, John DeLozier of Odessa, TX, Delbert DeLozier of Oologah, Paul DeLozier of Coffeyville, KS, and Brenda Myers of Harvest, AL; daughter-in-law, Barbara DeLozier of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
