Funeral service for Flora Faye Love will be 2 p.m., Mon., July 9, at the Chelsea Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andrew Qualls officiating. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m.
Faye died Tues., July 5, 2012, at Integris Mayes County Medical Center, Pryor, at the age of 74.
The baby daughter of 7 children to William and Birdie (Schuessler) Davis was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Haskell. She attended school in Haskell, and received her Licensed Practical Nurse certification in Muskogee. She worked in nursing homes and hospice in Bixby and Broken Arrow. In 1978, Faye married Carroll Lee Love in Denton, TX. They made their home in Tulsa, before moving to Chelsea 16 years ago. Faye enjoyed crocheting, reading, painting, fishing; and playing dominoes and scrabble with family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and having tea parties with her daughter and granddaughters.
Faye is survived by her husband, Carroll of the home; daughter, Terry Smith and Walter of Chelsea; brother, J.T. Davis and wife, Shirley of Prue; sister, Hazel Brittenham of Warner; grandchildren: April Butz, Jeremy Moak, Kara Moak, and Audrey Love; great-grandchildren: Peter Butz and wife, Rebekah, Elizebeth Moiya and husband, Axel, Tianna, Ahmani, Michael, D.J., and King; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jon Smith; parents; grandchildren: Haley, Terry, and Jesse; sisters: Edna Lineberry, Mable Davis, and Wilma Qualls; and brother, Bill.
