Florence Emily Walter was born Oct. 25, 1925, in Corey, PA. She died on Tues., Feb. 8, 2011, at her home at the age of 86.
Florence graduated from high school in Wattsburg, PA, in 1942. She moved to California, where she met her husband, Donald Edward Walter. They were married on Dec. 6, 1952, in Pasadena, CA. They made their home in Clayton, OK, where they ran a cattle ranch for 28 years. Florence was a member of the Thursday Girls and Quilting Club. She was a devout Catholic all her life.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and parents: John and Ruth (Williams) Buetikofer.
She is survived by her daughters: Amy Gullett of Claremore, Diane Hall of Euless, TX, and Deborah Ruyle of Tulsa; grandchildren: Justin Ruyle, Jennifer Considine, Matt Ruyle, Joey Hall, Jacob Hall, Daniel Gullett, Kiley Gullett, and Jessica Ruyle; great-grandchildren: Mina, Eva, and Juri; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Anzulda and husband, Joe, and Jerrie Brewer all of Claremore.
