Graveside service for Frances Nadine Chambers will be 1 p.m., Wed., Dec. 23, at Woodlawn Cemetery with Chaplain Henry Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Frances passed away Sat., Dec. 19, 2015, at her home at the age of 95.
The daughter of Thomas Franklin and Mitt Barbee was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Carnegie. On Nov. 13, 1934, she married Henry Louis Chambers in Carnegie. In 1952, they made their home in Claremore; and in 1963, they moved to their home where she still resided. Frances was a homemaker; and enjoyed cooking, gardening and growing flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 1976; her son, Melvin Louise Chambers in 1973; and her parents.
Frances is survived by her children: Della Smith and husband, Larry of Tulsa, Kenneth Chambers and wife, Beverly of Denton, TX, and Vernon Chambers and wife, Sharon of Inola; grandchildren: Adam Chambers and wife, Faye of Bothell, WA, Samantha Chambers of Tulsa, Victoria L. Chambers of Kellyville, and Joyce Arnold and husband of Tulsa; and former daughter-in-law, Betty Garland and husband of Claremore.
