Memorial Service for Frank Ray Lyons will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home. Frank Ray Lyons passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Claremore; He was 76. Frank was born June 10, 1941 in Oroville, California to parents Otto Clarence Lyons and Etta Helen Lyons (Moler). Frank graduated from Pawhuska High School in May of 1959. In September of 1959 he entered into service in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany until September of 1962. After returning home, Frank met and later married Carolyn Lee Smith in March of 1964. They had three daughters before divorcing in 1979.
Frank moved to Tulsa in 1965, and later to Claremore in 1973. Frank was a welder with Crane Carrier for 15 years. He then went to work for himself as an owner/operator of his own laundromat, Muskogee Street Laundry, for 40 years before retiring.
Frank loved hunting and collecting arrowheads, metal detecting, coin collecting, and mostly spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending and supporting their sporting events.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Carrie Lynn Myers, Jamie Rae Knapp and Kelly Lynette Lyons; grandchildren Ashley Dawn Budgick, Justin Ray Knapp, and Brandon James Knapp; great-grandchildren Kayla Malynn Budgick, Hailey Rae Budgick, and Avery Gia Budgick; and brothers Dale William Lyons and Don Edward Lyons. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Clarence Eugene Lyons, James Leroy Lyons, and Tommy Lee Lyons.
