Funeral service for Frankie Mae Asberry will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 16, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcus Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-5 p.m.
Frankie passed away Sat., July 11, 2015, at Wood Manor Nursing Home at the age of 93.
The daughter of Frank Harper and Areminta (Vann) Harper was born Jan. 1, 1922, in Vinita. Frankie was raised in Vinita, and later made her home in Chelsea, Claremore, and Tulsa.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kay Frances Raven; sons-in-law, Tom Thompson and Willis Parker; brothers, Delma Carter and Isadora Carter; and sisters: Irene Drew and Georgia Riley.
She is survived by her daughters: Naomi Bledsoe and husband, Bill, Doris Thompson, and Barbra Ann Parker all of Long Beach, CA; son, James Hill, Jr. of Long Beach, CA; half-sister, Rosa Lee White and husband, Willie Dean of Bartlesville; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Gerome Riley of Claremore, who cared for her over 20 years; special friends, Jamesetta and Odell Jones of Tulsa, who also cared for her; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
