Services for Gary Jankovic was Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
Gary passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the age of 65.
The son of John and Elizabeth Hart Jankovic was born August 17, 1951 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Middletown, Pennsylvania, where he attended high school, graduating with the class of 1969. Immediately after graduating, Gary joined the United States Navy, where he was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. Upon his discharge, Gary returned home to Pennsylvania. However, a short time later, he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma with plans to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics. This plan however changed, when he was offered a job at McDonnell Douglas. After over 10 years of service, Gary took a job in Wichita, working for Boeing, and later, Spirit Aircraft.
In his spare time, Gary enjoyed playing the guitar with his friends, the occasional tennis match, and his favorite pasttime of all was riding his motorcycle.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Krista Jean Davis.
He was survived by his grandchildren, Ian, Bentley, James and Calliope; sister, Cynthia Jankovic; and daughter-in-law, Nic Davis.
